About the Event
Register to join us MLK Day 2021 from 12:30PM-2PM as we learn how to utilize Dr. King's teachings of Nonviolence in our every day lives!
2020 magnified the injustices brought on by what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called the "Triple Evils of Society: Racism, Poverty, & Militarism".
These evils made communities, like those of Nonviolence Chicago, vulnerable even before last year leaving them disproportionately affected as they faced the dual pandemics of COVID-19 & gun violence.
Dr. King taught that in order to dismantle the unjust systems which perpetuate the triple evils, we must always seek to build the Beloved Community— a world that's safe, just, loving, and equitable for ALL.
Through Kingian Nonviolence we can reach this, together. By exploring the six principles and six steps of nonviolence in this training session, you will gain the knowledge and skills to spark positive change in your home, work, & community.
