About the event

Register to celebrate MLK Day 2021 with Nonviolence Chicago from 10AM-12PM

Hear from our team about our efforts during 2020 and learn about the Beloved Community and how we can continue building it together.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2020 showed us what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. meant when he spoke about our interconnectedness.

How we must take care of each other because “whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

He taught that acts founded on the love for our fellow neighbors help us build the Beloved Community — a world that’s safe, just, loving, and equitable for everyone.

We witnessed this last year through the incredible acts of mutual aid that took place in our Nonviolence Chicago communities, across our city, and across our nation. Despite what neighborhood we came from, we kept each other safe.

We built the Beloved Community through this unity which can continue in 2021 and beyond.

Join us for this event to celebrate MLK Day, reflect on last year & learn more the Beloved Community!
